More abstracts accepted, more topics to be presented!

As the Organizing Committee continues to receive and accept abstracts, the different research topics of the presenters are becoming more diverse, including a study on the Judeo-Spanish of Morocco (by Farah Ali). We are excited that the research to be presented still reflects a balance between Spanish and Portuguese. Here are a some more recently accepted abstracts:

Farah Ali (UC-Davis)
“Plosives in Moroccan Judeo-Spanish”
[spanish] [phonetics] [judeo-español]

Víctor Parra-Guinaldo & John Ryan (ASU & U of Northern Colorado)
“The Balancing Act between Ad Hoc (Productive) Diminutivization and Relexification in Modern Spanish”
[morphology] [spanish] [historical linguistics]

Jasmine McBeath (U of Arizona)
"Cross-cultural Language Learning in Higher Education: Portuguese-English Exchange between Native American and Indigenous Brazilian Students"
[portuguese] [SLA] [language contact]
